Platter’s Chocolates Is The Gift For Valentine’s Day

Are you stumped this year for what to get your significant other for Valentine’s day? Time is flying by this year; we get it! Platter’s Chocolates is a great start. With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, Platter’s Chocolates satisfies that sweet craving. Let’s set the mood: we’re thinking about a candlelit bubble bath. Then your Valentine opens a bottle of your choice. After that, you share morsels of Platter’s Chocolates and all is right with your Valentine’s Day.

This Buffalo staple dates back to 1938. Founder Carl Platter decided to make chocolate, which is what friends and family said he did best. Without a storefront, Carl’s wife Vera went door to door throughout the town selling orange chocolate. The couple made their chocolate affordable, delighting families with a special “treat” during difficult times. What started in the basement of his North Tonawanda, NY home,  transformed into a full-fledged business located at the Wurlitzer Building!

Platter sold the business to Roger Urban in 1972. Since then, people have indulged in the best chocolate Western New York has to offer! Following multiple customers suggestions in expanding the chocolate variety, Urban purchased Betty Dixon Candies. With the addition, Platter’s chocolate variety expanded to creams, caramels, jellies, and their signature sponge candy.

The chocolate factory is not just Willy Wonka’s dream — but a bride & groom’s dream, too! First of all, not only is chocolate a hit at ANY social event, but Platter’s also offers sweet consultations for special events. Events like a bridal shower, engagement party, rehearsal dinner, wedding reception, we could go on! Giving the gift of a sweet treat or chocolate favor is perfect for all occasions! There’s even an option of customizing a chocolate favor for the event!. For instance, clients can customize a chocolate bar to a shape of their choice with a name, logo, initials, and more.

Also, you have the option to mix and match and choose different assortments, adding those personalized touches for your Valentine. This is a great opportunity to show your boo that you care and ACTUALLY pay attention to their chocolate habit! Do they enjoy sponge candy? Maybe they want a little orange, citrusy moment mixed in with their assortment. PRO TIP: If you’re not sure what type of chocolate your significant other likes, grab a bunch and then just say the rest are for you! Snag a nice card and you’re set. Who needs dinner reservations this year when you can have custom chocolate? You can thank us later LOL

January 2020 already seemed like it’s its own year, February is a chance to really start the new year off right! Ditch the overcrowded restaurant, pop that bottle open and rekindle the romance with your Valentine by reminiscing about how you met, or your favorite memory with them, and share some sweets with your sweetheart. There’s love poured into every mixture, what better way than to share with your love?
