Modern Wedding Trends: Tiny Treats – Sweet and Savory!

It’s a fact – things are much cuter when they’re little. OK, so it might not be a proven fact, but I bet you agree! Puppies, baby clothes, cars, houses, champagne bottles… right?! We’ve been noticing this (self-proclaimed) “tiny-movement” spreading all across the wedding industry and hitting catering the hardest. Hors d’ouerves are typically bite-sized due to their purpose, but we’re seeing almost everything from snacks to main courses and all the way through to desserts shrinking! All of our local venues and caterers are hip to the freshest ideas, so here are some of our favorite examples of big dishes gone small for weddings!

These mini taco’s served in lime wedges from the Foundry Suites are just too perfect!

Um… chicken and waffles with bacon?! BITE SIZED?! Yes please, Fat Bob’s Catering!

Don’t forget about little beverages too! Have you ever seen anything cuter than these cider filled mini apples?! Best Photography

The above three are from the talented Private Knives Catering: perfectly portioned mini sliders, fun little cotton candy sticks, and bite-sized donuts paired with coffee and customized stirrer sticks! Talk about memorable munchies!!

Mini Blueberry pies are a tiny, sweet treat from Lloyd’s Catering!

Another tasty treat from Lloyd’s Catering, mini shrimp tostadas!

Another take on a shrimp dish from The Inn On The Lake, mini shrimp shooters on ice!

The cutest serving of pancakes you’ve ever seen. Thank you, Feast Catering of Westfield. Ifong Chen Photography
