Earlier this spring, our friend and colleague, daughter of the late owner of Williams’ Florist and Gift House Alicia and her love recently said “I do” in the most quaint and romantic boathouse wedding!

“When they say opposites attract, they mean it! I’m from the Southtowns and Nick’s from Lockport. I’m a creative right brain florist, he’s a logical left brain insurance broker. However, our love of family and passion for the outdoors has drawn us together. When choosing the flow of our wedding, we wanted something very intimate, and simple, but surrounded by the people who are most important to us. That’s why we invited family only and chose a brunch location right on the water, which is in our opinion, it’s the best view in Buffalo! “We are expecting our first child in July and decided we’d like to get married before the little one arrives. We put together a wedding in 2 months, keeping things affordable and simple with a small guest list and brunch-only reception. I also let my bridesmaids pick their own dresses, keeping it cost effective for them. However, we splurged in the areas that made it feel customized and elegant, such as (of course!) flowers, photography & our outfits!”
