Rochester Mural Art Wedding Inspiration Bridal Editorial

The inspiration behind this UH-mazing editorial was using local Rochester mural art as wedding inspiration. When a group of women come together, each with their own unique talents and drive to push the boundaries, the result is amazing things happen! Who run the world…? 😘 To be totally honest, this Rochester mural art wedding styled shoot came from the desire to basically hang out with each other. It doesn’t really feel like work when you’re a wedding vendor when your friends are also! I am always thinking of ways to up the ante in the local wedding scene and each of these creative businesses wanted an excuse to do something out-of-the-box fun and creative.

No, it’s not revolutionary to take photos in front of public art. We think it is revolutionary, however, to use said public art as the inspiration and direction for the wedding! I mean, why not?! Personally, I’m tired of “vintage chic” and “modern geo.” I want to see something that’s authentic to my town. I want to see something that shakes up the norm because that’s newness. I also happen to love fashion and live my other life as a fashion designer. So these fashion editorial shoots really get my juices flowing.

We choose three public artworks for our Rochester mural art wedding inspiration shoot as our direction, and then had to coordinate the day of moving furniture and models to and fro. Our talented crew pulled their own crafts together with the chosen inspiration and we ran wild!
